Helping Hands Reframed

Hearing about Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines was devastating to listen to. So many natural disasters happen in our world, but it is the one thing that can unite us all. It saddened me when I heard a girl passing by in school talking about the disaster and complaining how the U.S shouldn’t be helping the philippines. “It’s not our problem, they aren’t even near us” It doesn’t get better when we have a negative mindset. In class we have been focusing on our innovation projects. An idea that you will create physically to address a necessity. When we discuss we do not to put each others ideas down, but instead help each other out and give suggestions. I believe this applies in every type of situation. It isn’t about you feeling superior about yourself while you put someone else down, but about lending a hand to someone in need.
